Welcome Traveler

Hello, my name is Adrian and this is my portfolio website.

Here I show my work and on what projects I am working on.

Hi

This is gonna be a short introduction to me and my character. So I am 20 years old and was born in Germany, where I lived my entire life, I visited a bilingual kindergarden, primary school and secondary school.

Now I am studying gamedesign in my fifth semester, my main skills are narrative design, world design, game design and level design.

I am fascinated by fictional worlds and grew up loving franchises like Star Wars, Harry Potter and most important Lord of the Rings. This is where my love for fantasy and storytelling began, later I also discovered the elder scrolls game series which I hold very dearly to my heart.

Now I want to create fictional worlds of my own to inspire the next generation of gamers.

What am I doing right now?

The project I am working on right now is part of my 5th semester studies. Its a topdown 3d puzzle game. The story is based in late Victorian age around 1890 and revolves around a scientist couple. The game is taking place in a fictional University called Witborrow University, which is located near Cambridge, England. My tasks in this project is lorewriting and leveldesign.

What are my Skills?

  • If the world you move in doesn't feel complete and alive, it ruins the gaming experience. I've been told that I have a talent for storing a lot of lore in my head and I want to use that talent to fill the worlds I create with a lot of background knowledge.

  • I want to create the world our characters move and live in and want to fill it with many little secrets and details to uncover and find.

  • “Every good story deserves embellishment” - Gandalf the Grey

Many games would be nothing without their great narrative. It is my goal to create exciting and profound stories in which the players can lose themselves in and be emotionally connected.

  • If a game has a great story and an interesting world but no entertaining mechanics, few people will like it and you won't have much fun with it. A game without good mechanics is only half as good.
