Bakeneko was my second game jam project. The theme of the game jam was “shapeshift” and we thought about making a game about the Japanese Folklore creatures called “Bakenekos”. A Bakeneko is basically a mischevious ghost taking the form of a cat.

The Story behind the game is, that a elder lady is being haunted by a Tanuki, who goes around and steals things. The Bakeneko squads goal is it that the elder lady doesn’t notice any changes around her house, so they shapeshift into the stolen items.
